Job Description

Modis is currently seeking a qualified Cisco Certified Network Engineer an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Portage/St. Joseph, MI area. It is anticipated that this opportunity will start immediately and last for a total duration of 24 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Cisco Network Engineer will be responsible for on-site implementation, configuration, and support of Cisco LAN/WAN environments and Cisco Network Security.

The consultant must have 3-5 years experience with IP Networking including the installation, configuration, maintenance and support for LAN/WAN systems, IP Load balancers, Ethernet, Token Ring, Wireless Access Points, Cisco Routers, Cisco Catalyst Switches and Firewalls/VPNs. Candidates must have experience with Juniper, CheckPoint or ASA Firewalls.

An active CCNA Certification or the equivalency in demonstrated work experience and training is required. This position will entail working directly with enterprise customers strong presentation and communication skills are a must.


REQUIRED SKILLS
- CCNA Certification or equivalent
- Strong LAN/WAN experience
- IPv4/IPv6 Networking experience with Load Balancing (CSS, Alteon, Radware, Foundry, Big IP F5, etc)
- Excellent Cisco Router/Switch installation, configuration and maintenance
- Juniper NetScreen/NSM Firewall Experience; or the equivalent experience with Nokia CheckPoint
- Strong customer service skills
